GDG Coding Jams · #1 chapter

More Coding Jam projects than any other GDG chapter in the world.

Our community has shipped 78 projects to the GDG Coding Jams showcase — 64% of every project on the platform, across 30 chapters, and 11× the next chapter.

What we do

Four formats, one idea: learn by building, in a room with other people.

GDG Brooklyn has been running since 2017. We are part of the global Google Developer Groups program — an independent community, not a Google marketing channel.

Talks & meetups

Evening sessions where people who build things explain how, with real code and real trade-offs. Free, and open to anyone.

Hands-on workshops

Bring a laptop, leave with something running. Our best-attended format by a wide margin.

Hackathons

A day to build something from nothing with people you just met. No experience threshold.

DevFest

Our flagship annual conference, part of the global DevFest series run by GDG chapters worldwide.

This runs on 8 volunteers and whoever shows up.

Speak at a meetup, help at the registration desk, or just come to something. All of it helps.
